Candle Care

The First Burn!

Preferable use a click-lighter to light the wick evenly.

The first burn needs to be for 1 hour or until the melt pool reaches the glass edge.

Each time thereafter, burn until wax pool reaches the glass to prevent tunneling.

How to care for my candle?

Please follow the below care guide at all times to ensure a safe candle burning environment:

Do not leave candle in direct or indirect sunlight, the soy wax may discolour.

Wooden Wicks generally do NOT need trimming, unless the flame is too large, extinguish, and when cooled slightly trim some of the wick off, this will ensure a clean burn every time.

Ensure there is no wick 'mushrooming' present, trim this off prior to lighting.

Only burn the candle for 2 hours at a time.

Burn within sight and never leave lit candle unattended.

Ensure candle is burning on a stable, heat-resistance surface.

Burn candle in a well-ventilated room.

Keep burning candle away from drafts, vents and air currents.

Never burn on or near anything that can catch fire.

Place burning candles at least 7cm apart from one another.

Do not touch or move the candle when it is burning, glass can become very hot.

Keep candles out of the reach of children and pets.

Extinguish candle if it smokes, flickers repeatedly, or the flame becomes too high. The wick may require trimming.

Always extinguish candle with a candle snuffer, never with water or using your breath.

Always extinguish when leaving the room/before going to sleep.

Do not leave wick trimmings, used matches and other debris in the candle.

Never use a knife or sharp object to remove wax drippings from the glass.

Discontinue burning when 1.5cm of wax remains.
